PLATFORM NAME
Indicates the name of the platform. Will include the name of the field as well as information such as FPSO, FPS, Barge, TLP, SPAR etc.
PRODUCT
LOCATION
For platforms in the Gulf Of Mexico and the North Sea this is the block number, elsewhere the longitude and latitude down to the nearest minute.
DATE/YEAR INSTALLED
Date of installation of jacket or hull at field location. For future developments this can alter frequently as plans are changed.
DATE/YEAR REMOVED
This is the currently expected date for the removal of the facility. Note improvements in recovery technology will affect this, as will variations in the price of oil and changes in required decommissioning provisions.
PLATFORM TYPE
TYPE:
PILES (NUMBER)
The number of piles anchoring the facility to the seabed
CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
STATUS
Different statuses across related files on any one project reflect the stages
that the different components of the project have reached. For instance a
field could have a firm plan status to develop the project. However, the exact
timing of the installation
and the weights of the platform may not yet have been determined exactly nor
the yard where construction is to take place. Once this information is announced,
the relevant statuses are updated accordingly, for instance in this case when
the PDO (development plan) has been approved.
WATER DEPTH (M.S.W)
The average water depth in which the platform sits.
FUNCTION
WELLS
The number of well slots available on the platform
JACKET WEIGHT (TONNES)
For fixed platforms this is the weight of the jacket, excluding the piles.
For a ship-shaped facility this the weight of the hull.
TOPSIDE WEIGHT (TONNES)
The weight of the platform topsides, including the decks, modules (e.g. drilling rigs if applicable). Please note that this is the dry weight as built. It does not include the weight of oil, drilling fluids, etc. It is not the operational topside weight, which for a large platform may be several thousand tonnes of additional weight.
E indicates that this weight is an estimate
TOTAL WEIGHT (TONNES)
For fixed platforms this includes the jacket, piles, topsides, anodes and the conductors.
For semi-submeribles this is the displacement weight. For ship-shaped facilities this is the dead weight tonnage (DWT).
For all weights these are in Metric Tonnes.
EVACUATION
Indicates the main anticipated method for evacuating the facility when required
